How Has CAD Effected Design

I think that CAD has enabled designers to work more quickly, to modify design elements more easily, and has helped to visualize objects and spaces in a 3-dimensional way.  It has also standardized drawing elements which helps different disciplines to collaborate on projects with more ease.
